What a fun time was had by all as we celebrated our Nation’s 236th birthday! The weather was hot with a wonderful breeze which allowed everyone to be comfortable outside as we lunched on hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, cole slaw, onion rings, watermelon, and all the fixin’s. Our trivia contest challenged our knowledge on the history of Independence Day. It sure was interesting to see how competitive our Stakeholders, residents and their families actually are! Prizes were awarded and everyone knew a little bit more about our country! We finished off our party with a “watermelon crawl” and of course the winners received watermelons! Once again the competitive spirit came out with much laughter, teasing and comraderie. The residents were clapping and laughing along with us as we “danced” around the table hoping to be the last one standing! The residents had so much fun they asked if they could do it again….
